For individuals

Emily has a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic interventions and believes in a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy. She tailors her treatment plans to meet the individual needs and goals of each client, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused interventions, including eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR). Her empathetic nature and non-judgmental attitude create a safe and trusting environment where clients can explore their concerns and work towards positive change.

Emily is able to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including:

  • anxiety disorders

  • mood disorders

  • Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and trauma-related conditions

  • personality disorders

  • substance use and addiction

Clinical Supervision

Emily is a PsyBA approved clinical supervisor and offers clinical supervision to 5+1 interns, clinical psychology registrars and peer supervision to fully registered psychologists.  Emily's approach to supervision is strengths-based and in line with the core competencies outlined by the PsyBA.  Emily endeavours to create a safe learning and reflection space to enable clinicians to better understand their own process, as well as the content and process for clients. 

Emily can provide face to face supervision in the Geelong area on request.  

Emily's areas of interest in supervision are:

  • substance use and addiction

  • trauma-informed practice and interventions

  • complex trauma and personality disorders

  • psychology in the public health system

  • emerging leadership in public health

  • transitioning from provisional psychologist to registered psychologist

  • working with mandated clients

Emily has experience in the following interventions:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Solution-focused Therapy (SFT)

  • Harm reduction for substance use

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR; currently undertaking accreditation pathway)

Fees

Emily offers her professional services at the following rates:

  • Individual Therapy

    • $250 per 50-minute session during business hours

    • $265 per 50-minute telehealth session after hours or on weekends

  • Clinical Supervision: $180 per session

Individual therapy sessions may be eligible for a Medicare rebate under the Better Access program.  You will need to provide a referral from your GP along with a copy of your Mental Health Care Plan at your first appointment.  The rebate for clinical psychology is currently $141.85, leaving a gap-fee of $108.15 for sessions within business hours, or $123.15 for after-hours appointments. 


Cancellation Policy:

Emily understands that unforeseen circumstances may arise, requiring the cancellation or rescheduling of appointments.  

The following cancellation policy applies:

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, kindly provide at least 24 hours' notice in advance.  This allows the time slot to be offered to another client.

  • For cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice, a cancellation fee of 50% of the session fee applies.  You will be unable to book another session until the cancellation fee has been paid.

  • In the event of a no-show, where no prior notice is given, the full session fee will be charged.
